“A unique place, 70 hectares in one piece, at the summit of La Clape”. 150 meters above sea level, a maritime influence - the sea is 5 kilometers away, behind a rocky bar -; a blue side dominates with the ponds, Bages, Gruissan; and a large plateau, with the scents of garrigue, and the colors of limestone. “The estate has always existed, but after phylloxera, the vineyards became grazing grounds for sheep.” Until we replanted... That was in 1980. The Mediterranean-type climate gives us hot days, the sea and the La Clape mountains cool nights. The prerogative of fine wines made from extremely fine grapes that need to mature slowly without being “burnt”. The soils, mostly marine and marno-limestone, dating from the Cretaceous period, mixed with the erosion products of the limestone plateau that overlooks them, ensure hydration and freshness. This exceptional terroir, nestled in the heart of the scrubland and and protected by the La Clape mountains, provides an ideal setting for the production of great wines. The essence of our actions is aimed at revealing the potential of the region. Each task, each precise intervention, aims to reveal the best in wine, in this remarkable place, which is one of the great terroirs in Languedoc. Our philosophy requires careful monitoring of maturity. The complexity of a great wine depends on it. Understanding, feeling, knowing how to harvest separately and at the optimal time, each plot is our goal
