About GJE Terracotta

I met my love and moved to Istanbul/ Turkey where she was born and raised. While living there we visited the beautiful Cappadocia region, and discovered many wonderful Terracotta Clay and Ceramic shops. Cappadocia is well known for the master craftsman who create all kinds of unique and beautiful clay items including Water Pitchers, Glazed Bowls and Plates designed similar to a fish. You can even attempt to make your own souvenir at the potter wheel in the shop. Our company GJE Terracotta brought its first container of products to the USA in 2014. We stored the items in northern NJ, and currently we continue to service the stores and food distributors we started with in the area. Since that time, we have expanded our customer locations from Boston to Virginia. What makes the cookware unique is that over time the food flavors become embedded in the clay which many people say makes the taste of the food continue to amaze them. Also, you can slow cook with no worries of food drying and benefit from nutrition retention and wonderful taste. Clay keeps food warm for long periods.
