About Goodnight Light

• Behind the Brand Goodnight Light® was founded by Eva Newton (b. 1976, Ottawa, Canada) and Marke Newton (b. 1973, Burnley, England). We met in London in 1999, when Eva was studying design at Goldsmiths College and Marke, a Fine Art graduate, was working at Slam City Skates, a skateboard shop in Neal’s Yard. Both from families of ‘makers,’ we grew up creating and have built our careers in art and design. Our experiences in London, Tokyo, California, Paris, and now Barcelona, have shaped our vision for Goodnight Light®, a brand focused on contemporary art and design through the medium of lighting. • Design Philosophy At Goodnight Light®, we prioritize creativity, innovation and craftsmanship. 98% of our products are made in Barcelona, where we maintain a close-knit, dependable team. We are committed to using sustainable materials, with recyclable PE for our outdoor range, recycled cardboard packaging, and low-emission, energy-efficient factories.
