Our story started in 1720 in the French Alps, when Mathieu Teisseire began to transform drinks everywhere with his incredible flavours. Nearly 300 years ago, in the foothills of the French Alps, Mathieu Teisseire was so inspired by the taste of ripe, juicy cherries that he created a liqueur that truly captured the rich flavour of the fruit. He bottled it and shared it with the world. And so, our brand was born. Mathieu Teisseire’s passion for concentrating flavour is the inspiration for what has become the world’s best tasting syrup. To this day, the highest quality ingredients, individually designed recipes and a unique two sugar process has enabled us to keep his ambition for serving ‘true flavour’ alive.
