Founder Georgia Grace Edwards got the idea for Gnara (previously SheFly) during her time as a summer glacier guide in Alaska. While her male co-workers could easily and discreetly unzip their flies to pee, she was forced to trek across dangerous crevasses until she could find the privacy to remove 3-4 layers of clothing in freezing temperatures. This process made her so cold that she chose to cut her water consumption and risk dehydration instead — a common tradeoff for female adventurers. In fact, 56% of women have had a bathroom accident outside in the past year alone. Tired of wearing clothes that simply weren’t designed for her anatomy, Georgia Grace teamed up with a couple college classmates to launch SheFly in 2018. Since then, Gnara's game-changing GoFly® design has gone from the floor of a college dorm room to the floors of dozens of retailers across the U.S. and New Zealand. It's been named a Top Product by Forbes, Women's Health, CNN, USA Today, GearJunkie, and more. Gnara has launched GoFly collabs® with companies like Burton & LIVSN.
