About RKM Designs

Hello, my name is Roxan Venable of RKM Designs. I have been making jewelry and crafts for about 5 years as a hobby, creating custom pieces for myself, my family and friends. Two years I made blessing beads as gifts, which were such a hit I found myself making more and more. Because of the popularity of these and other items that I was making, when I unexpectedly became unemployed, I decided to pursue my craft as a business rather than return to a traditional job. Using my 30 plus years of sale experience I went to local gift shops to see if they would carry my blessing beads and that is how RKM Designs began. My feature product is the small blessing beads, which are painted wood beads accented with gold leafing, featuring a handmade clay cross. Many of my retailer offer the beads as christening, newborn and housewarming gifts. Each set of beads is accompanied by a custom tag explaining that the original crucifix used to imprint the clay cross was blessed by the Pope. I can also do a cross without the crucifix for other religions. Other Products in the line include longer blessing beads, home blessing with three St. Benedict charms and blessing beads with a cardinal.
