I was born in a small city in Tuscany, Arezzo - few miles from Florence- 40 years ago, in Tuscany, Italy. My mother was a dressmaker and my father an office worker. I spent my childhood between balls of thread, sewing machines and buttons, making myself dresses for my dolls. Unfortunately, my creative growth was paused due to educational choices, directed toward a much safer and more stable career rather than a creative one. I therefore graduated in Psychology, soon realizing that I couldn’t be happy in such a career, even if I loved the subject and had become very good in my field. In the end, with a bit of luck and the help of chance, I got close to artistic and creative worlds again. After all those years spent with books, getting back to working with my own hands, creating something from scratch, giving life and concreteness to ideas and transforming materials made me realize what my true purpose was and the path I wanted to follow. So, as true mad dreamers do, I left my job, my sole and only –at the time- source of income. From that moment I’ve experienced wonderful things, like a year of intensive studies at Polimoda in Florence, were I specialized in leather luxury goods from design to sample: a dream life experience. After that my working methods changed, it was an experience that gave me a new vision, a completely new approach to my work. What are my dreams now? My goals? Grow. And grow more, fulfilling every dream through this growth. That’s my story in a nutshell.
