florapothecarie is a line of 100% natural & vegan beauty, lovingly handcrafted in small batches in Connecticut. Leaping Bunny and PETA certified as vegan and cruelty-free. It all started in 2009, when founder Sami Jo Artus discovered her favorite body wash contained a host of ingredients she couldn't pronounce. In researching these long-winded chemicals, she found many of them were linked to skin ailments from rashes and irritation to cancers and birth defects. She immediately tossed all offending cosmetics and got to work whipping up her own natural beauty concoctions in her kitchen. As an herbalist, Sami believes in the healing, calming, and beautifying power of nature. She incorporates her knowledge of herbs and flowers into crafting truly natural beauty products. At florapothecarie, we believe in taking care of our planet, our animals, and ourselves. It was such a great experience ordering from Florapothecarie for the first time. Sami touched base with me regarding my order within 24 hours of me placing it. Once my order arrived I was pleased to find a folder inside the box with information about the brand, the products and a printed copy of all of the wholesale offerings. It was a small gesture that was so helpful not only for myself but also for my staff and customers.
