It all began with a trip across New Zealand. Our founders Jennifer and Jannik Wetzel drove down under in 2017. Drinking a coffee in a different fascinating place in nature every morning was not only wonderful, but above all educational. In New Zealand, the two learned what it means to really live out respect for the nature that surrounds us. The Kiwis have known how to do it for a long time and are therefore a huge role model. They pack their food in beeswax cloths instead of disposable products such as cling film or aluminum foil and thus save tons of waste. Give up, without giving up, so to speak. Fascinated by how easy it can be, Jennifer and Jannik quickly realized: We need that in Germany too. And that for everyone! They tried it out for a long time and cursed a bit from time to time, but giving up wasn't an option. In the end, the two have found the right ingredients in the perfect concentrations that make Wachsling beeswax wraps so resistant and ultimately successful.
