With a background in digital art and business, he wanted to translate his love of Portland into apparel that helped both Portlanders and visitors alike show their love for the Rose City. In the beginning, Portland Gear operated out of a converted '77 Westfalia Volkswagen, selling t-shirts and traveling around the city. Now, nearly a decade and multiple retail locations later, the brand has solidified itself as a Portland staple. The totes I received looked as if they were going to be tiny but then when you unzip them they expand by a lot. They are enough compartments that you can use it as an everyday office/work bag. I was pleasantly surprised:)
