Ecologically sound products that cause as little harm to people and the environment as possible in production, use and disposal. This claim of the founders of the social partnership company ökoNorm remains the basis for our joint manufacturing company. Even before the company was founded in 1989 in Frankfurt/Main, the company founders Ellen Schahn and Albert Krohn were active in environmental protection, citizens' initiatives and socio-political issues. They got to know each other through these topics and worked together in ecologically oriented companies. The committed, consistent development of products made from renewable raw materials — nawaro — was recognized by the consumer magazine ÖKO-TEST as “very good” or “good” by the consumer magazine ÖKO-TEST for the rating of many ÖKONORM products. The awards with the “spiel gut” seal, reports in trade magazines and television reports about our products and recommendations from our customers have all contributed to our success. This has made us number one among the world's ecologically producing creative suppliers. Since 1997, oekoNORM has been working in the old sugar factory in Dedeleben (Saxony-Anhalt). Today, oekoNORM is a small, innovative factory committed to people and therefore to the environment. The products manufactured in our company meet the highest ecological and quality standards.
