In 1887 my great, great grandfather opened his first retail store on Church Street, Lancaster. The shop soon became synonymous with high quality leather goods and over the past 130 years has grown a reputation for customer service and family values (and is still run by my father today). Fast forward four generations, and growing up with very sensitive skin I struggled to find high street products that didn’t contain chemicals or preservatives plus offered the spa-like pamper I was looking for. Following a few experiments and many hours around the kitchen table with my husband, Simon, Banks-Lyon Botanical was born. After selling our first soap loaves to friends and family, we’d soon out-grown the kitchen table (and the spare room). Leading us to present day and our current range. We offer a wide selection of Men's, Ladies and Baby bath and skincare products. We still strive to pack the best ingredients nature has to offer into all our products. Making everything by hand and wrapping them in luxurious packaging to ensure we portray the love that went into producing them. That combined with our strict stance on Fairtrade, Sustainability and never testing on animals (all our products are approved by Cruelty Free International), all helps to create an ethos we’re rather proud of.Read their story
