For those of you new to us, Chestnut Street Studios (now Hedgerow) was born from one artist's desire to bring her love of nature to the goods we use in our homes whilst honoring the tradition of women who creatively decorate daily used items. In printing elegant designs from the natural world, the humble yet hardworking, flour sack towel is transformed into a usable work of art anyone can appreciate and afford. Each and every design begins as a drawing in Elizabeth's sketchbook. Her observations of the natural world are fed through her unique perspective and unerring attention to composition and detail. But, beauty isn't everything! We use only the best quality flour sack towels available. Gorgeous and hardworking is what we are all about.
