The business was originally formed as a cloth manufacturer and converter in 1903 under the name Bulloch, Cowell & Co. In the 1960s it became a limited company and entered the Scottish gift and textile market under the brand name Glen Appin of Scotland. The Glen Appin of Scotland brand image and logo were given a makeover in 2012. By 2014 the brand was more familiar to our customers than the original company name so it was changed to Glen Appin of Scotland Limited. Today Glen Appin of Scotland is recognised in Scotland, the UK and internationally as a supplier of high quality textiles and Scottish gifts backed by first class service. Our distinctive Highland Cow logo can be seen in a wide variety of retail outlets from small village shops to castles. The company was based for many years in Albion Street in Glasgow, and then for almost ten years in Elderpark Workspace, before moving in January 2020 to our present home in Bessemer Drive in East Kilbride. We now have around 25,000sq ft of warehouse space, a large showroom and spacious offices. We are well known for our Harris Tweed bags, purses and accessories but we also produce a large range of gifts and clothing including Pet Products, Napkins, Tea Towels and Stoneware.Read their story
