hi, hello I'm tamara! i have created ever since i could remember. i have a wonderful aunt who is the queen of crafts who encouraged me to let my imagination and creativity run wild, supporting all of my dreams. she opened a gift shop in my hometown in South Texas the fall of my freshman year of high school. i remember helping her build displays and organize the store the summer before entering high school. this experience sparked a new passion in me. i would ride the school bus to her shop after class and work for a couple hours, learning the ins and outs of running a small business. i've always created jewelry in some capacity, i began handcrafting wire bracelets that my aunt sold in her store. i grew up inside this boutique, i had the opportunity to attend dallas market for multiple years. when i moved to college to pursue a marketing degree at UNT, i needed a creative outlet. i began creating tassel earrings out of my dorm room and grew a brand that i sold in 5 boutiques in the South Texas area. as i've grown through my college career, i've began creating jewelry with crystals and eyes. i rebranded my tassel business to shop black olive co. a brand that provides peace and protection through jewelry handcrafted with love and intention. i offer collar charms, evil eye bracelets, keychains, anklets, bracelets, earrings and necklaces!
