Why Upstairs Gin The name Upstairs Gin originated during a walk to Heidelberg Castle, during which the 315 steps along the way provided the foundation for the city-related concepts of our gins. Accordingly, each of our variants embodies a city from the beautiful Electoral Palatinate. Be it Heidelberg with its 315 steps or Mannheim with its striking 144 squares that shape the city center. Who is behind Upstairs Gin Thanks to the various stops in the world of German premium gastronomy, Christopher Wloka, the man behind the brand, was able to sharpen his ability to create special tastes for a tried and tested product during his training.
