We like shiny things ✨ Prismatic Defender® was founded in September 2017 by two best friends who have played various trading card games since childhood. After years of collecting Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Magic: The Gathering cards, the idea of holographic sleeves dawned upon us. Through six months of rigorous testing and fine-tuning, we finally had samples in hand that were up to our standards. Since we’re MTG players at heart, we debuted Prismatic Defender® in May 2017 at one of the largest shows in the United States, the Grand Prix in Washington DC. The overwhelmingly positive response solidified that our vision could become reality. Since then, we have acquired a small business and become a major supplier for TCGplayer. Everybody loves foil cards. The price difference between an average trading card and the holographic version of the same card can cost anywhere from double to ten times as much.
