About PURE U.
In 2016, after stopping the pill, Carla developed a severe form of hormonal acne. She then dealt intensively with the topics of skin, care and makeup. She wanted to understand her skin's needs and how blemishes develop in order to improve her skin appearance in the long term. Carla quickly noticed how many questionable ingredients most makeup products contain. She also noticed that there are hardly any natural cosmetic brands that only produce nourishing makeup. The idea of PURE U was born. Carla immediately began developing her own makeup — tailored to her sensitive skin and using only nourishing ingredients. At first she produced only for herself, then for her girlfriends. In 2019, Leo joined the young founder. Together, they began to further develop and perfect their products in their own laboratory. In the meantime, we are all benefiting from Carla's experience and Leo and Carla's common concern to sustainably change the cosmetics industry with PURE U products and to combine care and makeup.
