The Twisted Purl originally started in 2007 from a desire to see more color combinations and textures in the yarn industry. After perfecting the spinning and dyeing process, the company evolved from handspun yarn production into the wonderful world of felting. The handmade process of creating Felted Soaps began by just selling one at a time to customers. Now, The Twisted Purl's Felted Soaps are in over 1000 stores, all over the world, with most reordering on a frequent basis. In March 2024, Cyndi’s sister, Meg, purchased half of the company and now they run the business together as a sister duo. Meg’s brilliance brings a lot to Cyndi’s creative savvy. Their partnership helped balance the work load, improved customer service, and also streamlined the production process and methods. In addition to the two owners, The Twisted Purl now has employees. After lots of training, using the companies very precise felting methods, the team is phenomenal help in getting Felted Soaps created even faster. Each creation is as unique as a fingerprint with no two exactly alike. The Felted Soaps make an excellent gift option for stores and shops. With a gender neutral scent, people of all ages are fascinated by the novelty, but yet intrigued by the functionality of the product. Each one is individually wrapped and ready to put out immediately for customers to impulsively purchase for everyone they know.
