We are a clothing company based in Red Hook, Brooklyn, specializing in hand-silkscreened tees, shirts, dresses and jewelry. Our designs take inspiration from the industrial architecture, the waterfront and streetscapes of New York City past and present. WHAT'S UP WITH THE NAME? We used to live next to a poultry market in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for eight years. After the business closed, some locals turned it into a pop-up comedy club, changing the name from Live Poultry Slaughter, to Live Poultry Laughter! We created a tshirt in our shop of this repurposed sign. All our clothing is hand-silkscreened in the traditional way (no automatic presses!), in Red Hook and Industry City, Brooklyn. We use Alternative Apparel tees exclusively for our screenprinted designs. After trying many brands, we found Alternative to be far and away the best in the industry. They aren't your typical store-bought shirts and are softer and more durable than anything else out there, with unique hemlines, detailed stitching, precise cuts, and unparalleled comfort that lasts for years.
