About LUV SCRUB
Our brand story started at age five when my mother handed me this magical mesh cloth to take my bath. This is very common for Ghanaians and what we all use. In 2001, my best friend borrowed my mesh cloth without asking permission (I was NOT happy, lol). Fast forward to 2011, after the nicest compliment, I shared my skin secret with strangers (now friends) at a rooftop party in Brooklyn, and one of them told me to package and sell it. “Wow, what a great idea!” I did just that. Little did I know that moment would change my life (and shower game) forever. Back in 2011, I had a cute business and learned a lot. I decided to take a break and rework everything. I launched again in Dec 2016. My focus was on creating a beautiful, original, and authentic product. Authenticity is always key. Most importantly, I wanted to share my culture and the LUV with my customers. I love it so much that I named it LUV SCRUB Mesh Body Exfoliator. Our magical mesh is not a trend—it’s a lifestyle. This is the same African Net Sponge my parents and I used, but it's much better. It's been elevated with a lot of attention to detail. I have loved using my exfoliating towel, and my clients have all really enjoyed theirs as well! I've used quite a few different brands, and this one has been my favorite. I love how wide the netting is, so you can easily rinse the product out and hang it to dry. The color variety is great, and they hold up really well. Feels like the perfect "grit" on the skin as well. I'm excited to try the bar soap, I got my shipment and the Velvet Jasmine smells so good!
