ilikesara is the work of designer, illustrator, and printmaker Sara Schalliol-Hodge. From her studio in Denver, Colorado, Sara creates illustrated goods inspired by forests, animals, vintage ephemera, and the small wonders of the natural world. Her drawings often feature forest creatures, insects, and plants—small moments that feel like a wandering walk through the woods. Sara’s childhood exploring the woods of North Georgia still influences much of her work, which blends hand-drawn illustration with printmaking traditions to create objects that feel both timeless and a little mysterious. She studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design and worked as an industrial and interior designer before founding ilikesara. That background continues to shape her work today: each illustration is created with an eye toward how it will live in the real world—printed on textiles, turned into useful objects, and carried out into everyday adventures. What began as a small studio practice has grown into a product brand now carried in 400+ shops around the world. Sara designs each collection, develops the products, collaborates with manufacturers, and remains closely involved in every step of the process. The ilikesara collection currently includes bandanas, tea towels, zipper pouches, decorative trays, enamel mugs, greeting cards, patches, stickers, art prints, and hand-printed block prints—objects meant to be used, loved, and taken along for the journey.Read their story
