Burke & Hare Co was established in 2011 by owner Erica with a goal to create specialty items of a darker aesthetic without compromising style and sophisticated design. Heavily influenced by a penchant for the dark and dreary along with music of the sort, we strive to find beauty in superstitions, natural magic and the history of the occult. As one of the first dark candle companies, we have been leading the trend for nearly 10 years and have built a reputation for creating top quality candles and scent blends! We have worked with: KatVonD's Wonderland Store, the Mutter Museum, Sword & Scale, the Providence Public Library, Laurel Hill Cemetery... just to name a few! Each product is made and tested in our own retail store (and homes). We make sure our candles burn evenly, the labels look great and most importantly give the perfect scent throw! Having the opportunity to sell in person at our brick and mortar gives us the unique advantage of being able to recommend top selling scents based on our sales. Feel free to reach out and ask us for suggestions! Our waxes are soy based, we use all cotton wicks and our fragrance and essential oil blends are phthalate free. Our candles are packaged in glass containers with metal lids that can be recycled or reused. Plus -- we are Leaping Bunny (cruelty free) certified! We also donate to a variety of Animal Shelters and Non Profits like PAWs New England, WI Humane Society and other small rescues throughout the year. Read their story
