About Strider Bikes

At Strider, we love riding bikes, and we love inspiring kids to ride. Our mission is to build lightweight, efficient, all-terrain bikes that develop two-wheeled balance, coordination, and confidence in children. Strider was established in 2007 in Rapid City, SD, and the world has changed a lot since then. We’ve sold over 4 million bikes to families around the world! We’ve also expanded our presence beyond little ol’ South Dakota and have authorized dealers and distributors in over 75 countries. Strider Bikes are designed to be the best way for toddlers to learn to ride by teaching balance first. When balance is mastered, transitioning to a bicycle with pedals is easy. A child needs to experience the feel of leaning and how steering affects the balance of the bike.
