The Story of Purple Thistle Botanicals Hi, I’m Alyssa owner, maker, and heart behind Purple Thistle Botanicals. I’ve always found comfort in nature, creativity, and the little rituals that ground us. What started as a personal journey learning to make simple, natural bath + body products for myself and my family slowly bloomed into something much bigger. When I discovered the original Purple Thistle, I instantly connected with its mission and magic. I began working behind the scenes, crafting products by hand, learning from the plants, and building relationships with the people who loved them. Over time, I stepped fully into ownership, carrying forward the heart of this small-batch apothecary while weaving in my own style one rooted in wildflowers, whimsy, and a whole lot of intention. Every product is made from scratch in my cozy upstairs workshop in North Canton, Ohio using ingredients I trust, many of which I forage, infuse, or blend myself. I believe in honoring the earth, taking time to do things right, and creating products that feel like care for your skin, your spirit, and your space. You’ll find me at markets across Ohio, three dogs and my husband waiting at home, and a big cup of coffee in hand. This business is personal.
