Our founder, a public school teacher, wanted to create a game that combined her love for poetry and passion for generative grammar (the study of how English grammar works). She assembled a creative team of women whose writing style and sense of humor complement one another. The result is a product that ignites self-expression like no other card game on the market. Stanzaz® is more than a game. It’s a shared sensory experience that produces a singular item – an original poem. No other game offers this, and mathematically, the cards will never be placed in the same order again. Poems can be read once and discarded, or players can opt to present their poems to the world by sharing them on social media. We envision players stepping into the role of poet and offering them the chance that poets rarely have – preservation and recognition. We’re proud of what we’ve created – a game that will not only bring people together, but also enrich their knowledge of poetry and give props to the poets who have paved the way.
