What if at age 50 you dedicate yourself to learning to draw? What if friends & family enjoy your drawings too. What if you love sending cards so you turn that favorite drawing into a card? What if others liked them too? I began to draw (animals mostly) at my kitchen table in 2020. At first I wanted to learn how to draw to improve my painting but once I discovered charcoal my aspirations shifted. I resolved to work in charcoal & to learn how to use it in a painterly way. And animals? Easy…I'm a lifelong animal lover & inspired by all these expressive little creatures that cross my path. Animals are utterly authentic - their expressions & adventures are often so similar to our own, obviously so different yet so relatable at once. My quality control is simple - would I be thrilled to receive this as a gift? Unless the answer is definite YES it doesn’t make the cut. All my designs are printed on acid-free, archival papers & cards & I spend a lot of time refining & perfecting all the products I make available. I feel incredibly fortunate to be on this animal filled art adventure - it's important to me that my small business supports several local animal welfare and wildlife organizations because well where would we be without our animal friends?
