About Mehlenbacher's Taffy

Mehlenbacher's Taffy was started in Upstate New York way back in the 1980's. At that time it was made to sell at fairs and festivals. Eventually they began selling wholesale to gift shops and candy stores Nation Wide. All the taffy was pulled on an antique hook. In 2007 it was moved to CA under new ownership. We have expanded to several new accounts in CA. We also added a batch roller that allows us to make multi flavored taffy like our Strawberry lemonade.

For the price, I expected a bigger burst of flavor in the taffy and honestly thought the pieces would be larger "logs" which would appear as a better value than they are. Our candy bars are 1.49 ea and this is priced 2.79 ea and the perceived value is not there for us.
