About Etymology Jewelry
Shipping daily for all your holiday needs. Please inquire within for exact delivery date information! Handmade creative jewelry for bold sustainable loving babes. Every jewelry piece by Etymology Jewelry is designed by designer and owner Natalie Jacob and handcrafted in our New York City studio. Each necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings includes a "mixed media" aesthetic of different materials. From textured vintage brass chains to colorful recycled fair trade beads, Natalie extracts her inspiration from the very components she uses. The name Etymology harkens back to Natalie's jewelry making beginnings- when she was using scrabble and boggle pieces to string together words and phrases in jewelry form. The aesthetic has evolved since then but the name is a reminder of how she started. A little bit more about Natalie: She is a Brooklyn, NY native, a designer and artist. As the owner for Etymology Jewelry, she is an alum from MICA, (The Maryland Institute College of Art) in Baltimore and the noteworthy fame school, LaGuardia HS of Music and Art in NYC. In her previous life, Natalie is a classically trained artist, having even had her work featured at the Society of Illustrators in Manhattan. With such a creative background, Natalie takes these fine art influences in her jewelry work, her main medium, today. Etymology Jewelry is stocked in hundreds of stores around the world and we are excited to continue to grow and create.

Yikes-- I have never been so disappointed with an order. Rings were bent, tarnished, worn down... but worst if all, half were adjustable like I just popped them out of a gumball machine. I cannot believe they charged $180 for these. Returning immediately.

Hi, Rings as stated in the listing are vintage so one can expect some minor patina commiserate with age. None of the rings were plastic or of poor quality as you describe- just vintage so different for that reason. If you had such an extreme issue, you could have always reached out (which you chose not to at all) and I would have done whatever I could to have made the experience a more positive one. I'm sorry you were unhappy with your order. —Etymology Jewelry • Jan 8, 2026

Thank you for your feedback. I was in complete communication with you regarding your order and the delays I experienced. I apologized profusely and you were refunded for your missing items as well. I am saddened to know that you were unhappy without letting me know at all. Reviews like this deeply impact my small business and I would have welcomed the opportunity to hear from you and been able to make your experience one where you were happy with the turnout. —Etymology Jewelry • Mar 3, 2025
