Fairly and ethically handmade by refugee artisans in St. Louis. Every purchase empowers vulnerable women with job skills, home-based income generation, and an opportunity to thrive in a community. Our unique, small-batch designs are timeless – from hand-hammered classics to feminine teardrop gemstones – and reflect the resilience and courage of our artisans. We offer delicate, minimalist, effortless favorites that elevate any outfit. Every piece is crafted from the highest quality, sustainably-sourced materials for those who make intentional choices for the jewelry they wear. Founded by Jen Owens in 2009, Forai (Friends of Refugees and Immigrants) has been a source of hope for refugee and immigrant women who face significant barriers to employment and struggle to flourish in their new homes. Our mission is to empower them with a fair wage, mentorship, and the opportunity to learn marketable skills as they create the highest quality jewelry, baby clothing, textiles, and other accessories. 100% of purchases are invested in this mission. Forai focuses on three things: dignity, empowerment, and community. Together, we are changing their present and the future for their children. Hope is a beautiful thing! I love Forai for SO many reasons. I carry a few Jewlery lines and this line sells the best and is a customer Favorite. The quality is perfection as well is the price point. I have many customers buy earrings as a gift and they end buying a second pair for themselves. The hammered brass bangles fly off the shelves and our my personal favorite. And the fact that they are a source of hope for refugee and immigrant women by giving a fair wage, sense of community and empowerment is the best part ❤️
