My name is Amanda Rose Warren, I am a local Alaskan artist. I am a self-taught acrylic painter and illustrator. My high school pottery class sparked my love for creating. I continued to build on those skills with custom decorated cakes. Soon after my mother fell ill, I began putting brushes to canvas, and really dove into acrylic art and painting more. I auctioned off my paintings to help with her medical bills and traveling expense to her chemotherapy appointments. Having been raised in Alaska, the dramatic nature scenes and wildlife inspire a lot of my pieces. I strive to create a positive emotion with the brave use of paint colors and contrast. When I'm not putting paint to canvas I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. They keep me busy but also inspire a lot of my paintings that are based off love and family. Like a lot of moms I strongly connect to that. They enjoy going into nature, 4-wheeling and bike rides. Their favorite time together is cuddled up to a Disney movie at home.Read their story
