I am a Brooklyn based designer with over 20 years in business. I make all of my products myself. The process of creating from start to finish gives me a great sense of accomplishment. I prefer to keep my designs streamlined in order to showcase the rich leathers which are locally sourced here in NYC. Color, texture and pattern are what inspire me most in my designs. Since I am a one woman show and a mother, my studio time is somewhat limited so I work fast and efficiently. I prefer to work with independent stores that place orders around 25 pieces or less so I can accommodate everyone and ship as quickly as possible. In the past, I sold through Etsy Wholesale and was very pleased with the outcome. I am excited to sell through Faire and I hope I can find a happy balance here! All of my bags come with hangtags inside and I can provide tissue paper for the larger clutches. Me in a nutshell: I grew up in San Francisco in the 1970s and 80s and was a very crafty child. I would spend hours after school, sewing barbie clothes while watching the Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island. Such bliss! In 1990, I began making hats out of deconstructed vintage thrift store and flea market finds. In 1994 I moved to New York to study millinery and accessories design at FIT. In 1999 I opened a boutique in Park Slope, Brooklyn called Eidolon with 3 other designers. I sold my bags, dresses, swimwear, knit items and jewelry. We were open until 2014.
