Haptic Lab began with a simple idea: the sense touch is a powerful tool that connects us all. Founded by architect Emily Fischer in Brooklyn, we’re a small team of designers and makers creating sensory, handcrafted textiles that tell stories. Our quilted maps and kites are inspired by the natural world and traditional craft techniques. We believe that beauty should be thoughtful, ethical, and lasting. Working in close partnership with artisans in India, Indonesia and New York City, we honor centuries-old techniques while building a more equitable future.
