Chef Blackanese Food Brand started with the purchase of Dragon Inn and meeting Tony Chang (former owner) and his wife Mary. I had finished my MBA and had a long career in restaurant and sale management industry. Tony took me under his wings and taught me how to prepare Mandarin and Cantonese cuisine. He also was the first to dubb me Blackanese, I think he was amazed and flattered how well my young family of 8 adapted to the Chinese culture with appreciation. Our families grew together for the next 15 years. It also exposed my children to the rich Chinese culture and Tony to our blended(Native and African American) family. My experience at the Dragon Inn was like living in a micro melting pot and because of it Chef Blackanese slogan is: Fusing Culture and Food...One Bite at a Time.
