Jane Diaz has been collaborating with Nepalese silversmith for 30 years. Nepal is a tiny country tucked away in the Himalayas between China and India. It's an exotic jewel box of shrines, temples, prayer flags and snowcapped mountains. In this ancient place they make jewelry the same way their father's fathers made it... completely by hand. From blocks of silver and gold they mill the metals to plates and wire and build it from scratch. "I've loved working in this place with these people. It's taught me a great deal. It's been a magical relationship to be able to doodle and muse and have these drawings brought to life by these skilled hands. My mission is to keep these crafts alive and to bring to you a unique product born of their time honored traditions and all the varied inspirations of my own journey". Read their story
