Lauren Lee Isaacs founded Fount Paper with a vision for sharing her love of design and typography in the homes of her friends and family. Lauren is a graphic designer who studied typography and visual arts at the University of Tennessee. She began designing cards, stationery and tea towels for a local company in Knoxville, until she and her husband made a big move to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2017. The inspiring landscapes and unique neighborhoods in Salt Lake City motivated Lauren to pursue her passions for design by hand screen-printing her own drawings and designs onto tea towels. Lauren has sold over 5,000 tea towels in Utah at the local markets and art shows since 2017 and is excited to continue to grow her business as she continues to design and print new products in 2020. Fount Paper tea towels are hand screen-printed using water-based ink that dyes the individual fibers of fabric on 100% cotton flour sack tea towels. Lauren creates each of her designs by hand, which allows her to ensure each product is a high quality print and maintains durability so customers can be confident that these towels don’t just look pretty, but are meant to be used!
