Our founders came from diverse backgrounds. Robin Williams began as a Modern Dancer turned small business owner for thirty years. Her husband Chris Rooke was a Surfer/Wood worker whose ingenuity lead him to become our premier product Maker. The business started with the help and guidance of a Hawaiian family of talented designers and a formulator, whose benevolence and love for Hawai'i made it all possible. Committed to creating an ethical, environmentally conscious business model, Hawaiian Body Products has always been dedicated to making the best natural products using ingredients from Hawai'i, honoring the land and the culture and supporting community. Ola means life force in Hawaiian and that is what we promise you in every product. Ola Tropical Apothecary is Hawai'i's premier organic BODY, SKIN CARE AND WELLNESS LINES offering a wide range of nourishing and healing products that reflect these islands. All products are hand made on our Hilo farm, in small batches using ingredients that we grow, based on ancient wisdom and skin healing properties.
