About Wool Couture Company
Founded in 2016 by Claire and Ali Gelder, Wool Couture is a Yorkshire-based craft company specialising in crochet, knitting, weaving, macramé, needle felting and embroidery. Its bestselling “Learn To” kits are designed to help makers of all skill levels build confidence and learn new crafts. Each kit includes premium yarns, tools, patterns and step-by-step instructions, with many also featuring free online video tutorials so beginners can learn at their own pace. Alongside its kits, Wool Couture offers a curated range of yarns, tools and accessories to support every stage of the creative journey. Inspired by founder Claire Gelder’s experience of the positive impact crafting had on her mental health and wellbeing, the company is passionate about making creativity accessible and enjoyable for everyone. In 2017, Claire appeared on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den, securing investment from Tej Lalvani and Touker Suleyman, helping accelerate the company’s growth while staying true to its mission. Today, Wool Couture continues to inspire makers across the UK and beyond to embrace creativity and enjoy the benefits of crafting by hand.

I would guess this would have been due to the post-Christmas backlog of orders awaiting shipment from the UK to the USA.
