Starpokes is a one-woman shop run by Brenna Lanning. I love to explore themes of folk/scandinavian imagery, antique quilts, bold color, redwork, looseness, and the imagery of the West through my stickers, and the culmination of these interests is what makes my illustrative work unique to my brand. I draw from the heart and for the love of adornment, making simple things beautiful and giving everyday things meaning. Stickers have been a great outlet for me to express myself, and as it turns out, it’s been a great way for others to express themselves as well. My hope is that my work, with a silly pun here and there, inspires joy and feels like home. The name ‘starpokes’ comes from combining ‘star’, a motif in my artwork, and ‘pokes’, as I enjoy embroidery and textile work in addition to my illustrative work.
