Hi! My name is Kathryn Peña, creator and owner of Unearthed. I create jewelry by hand using polymer clay and resin. My brand is unique as I celebrate my love for the land by incorporating things I find from the earth in my pieces such as: real flowers that I have collected and dried, seeds, shells, mica, etc. I believe that there is something special about making wearable art with treasures from the land because in some way, it connects us further with it. I started creating clay pieces back in 2020, but made it a business in 2022. My small business is run and managed by just myself and my husband, Jake. Of course our 3 year old daughter helps too! We just recently added twin boys to our family in September of 2022! My brand was started as a means of paying for an aviation mechanic program. The aviation program was a full-time program so rather than getting a night job away from my daughter, I taught myself a skill. I was able to complete my aviation program but have since taken the leap of faith in turning a hobby into a business. More than ever, I am determined and driven to grow my business because it means that I get to stay home and raise my three babies.
