Hi! My name is Kara, and I am the creator behind Kundalini Candles! It all started when I graduated from business school in December 2018. I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to do in my post-graduation life. I remembered using my hands to create has always brought me the most joy. I believe this realization is what sparked the idea when I woke up one winter morning. I knew I wanted to start a candle business, and I was going to do anything it took to make it happen. I spent months learning the basics and going through the trial and error. I finally launched my Etsy shop in April of 2019. When the pandemic caused a huge glass supply shortage, I could not get a hold of my original glass jars any longer. This is when I made the switch to creating my very own cement vessels! I found out quickly how much creative control it gave me, and how much people enjoyed them. It's been 5 years now, and I am still in love with the craft! Now, I have made thousands of candles and fine-tuned my brand into what it is today. Ingredients are important to me, which is why I use a custom blend of 100% soy wax and coconut apricot wax, FSC certified wooden wicks, and high-quality phthalate free fragrance and essential oils.
