About Make It Slow | Modern Woodworking the Old Fashioned Way
Creating timeless wood-turned heirlooms & handcrafted home decor that is made to last. We hope to inspire you to slow down and savor what means the most in life. We hope our products help point you back to your roots, to slower times and meaningful days. Our business was birthed from a desperate cry for a life that was different than the hustle culture society was selling. To combat auto-immune diseases and stress-centered living, we committed to inspire others that there is a way out as we pursued it for ourselves. In 2020, Donovan changed from an office job he hated to working with his hands. A carpenter and wood turner, he began doing what he loved for a living and pursing a latent dream. Victoria left her design business in the wedding industry and began growing flowers for a living - pursuing a family dream deposited in her by her grandmother. The two created a sustainable ecosystem using the wood chips & compost to fuel the flower farm and harvesting downed trees on our property for turning. Together, the Fiarettis created Make It Slow Flower Farm & Homestead. We sustainably + responsibly craft and grow intentional products for the heart and the home. Based near Pittsburgh, PA. We use plastic-free packaging and put our heart & soul into everything we design. We tried to reach you to discuss how we could help, if you’d like to return the items or how we could make this right but never heard back. The truth is there are no other hand-turned hardwood trees available on Faire at a lower price. Donovan turns each and every tree. I pack them with my littles under foot and they are sent with personal messages and details with love. We are not a company like Temu or SHEIN, but a very tiny family business.
