KLEIO was founded by Siobhán O'Shaughnessy. After spending two decades in senior roles in corporate America and higher education, Siobhán left the industry in order to pursue a new venture that would focus on her lifelong passion for history. Named after the Ancient Greek muse of history, KLEIO's mission is to not only recreate history's aromas but also to encourage a deeper understanding and appreciation for the history behind the candles. Every aspect of KLEIO's brand experience is grounded in building a greater connection with our past. Each candle vessel features gold or silver leaf, resulting in a hand-finished candle that attempts to replicate the weathering and aging of a gilded artifact from history.
