Having decided to leave behind the corporate finance grind, Juan W. shed the suit-and-tie-9-to-5 to launch LaDorada, a Miami-based operation that creates contemporary tabletop and giftware interpretations of traditional Colombian art. Growing up in France, Juan understood the cachet associated with a made-in-France brand. He wanted to create something that offered the same prestige but with goods made in his beloved homeland using native materials.
