We’re excited to introduce you to our first Faire Fashion Index, where we’ll cover the top sartorial searches from the previous month to help you stay on the cusp of what’s cool and new. This past month, we saw a lot of holiday prep, as retailers searched for Valentine’s Day goods, like cozy sweaters with hearts and graphic sweatshirts, and a few Mardi Gras accessories as well. Easter and St. Patrick’s Day are on the horizon, so they’re also on the hunt for those holidays’ usual festive gear.

As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continue to go viral for just about everything they do, consumers want in with Eras Tour and the Big Game-themed merch. Though football isn’t having all the fun, as baseball merch is making an appearance on our top list too. Finally, for everyday wear, shoppers are on the lookout for a great pair of jeans (who isn’t?), Western apparel, and plus-size clothing.

After we dive into the top searches, we’ll also show you the products and brands that are catching consumers’ eyes.

  1. Mardi Gras: Think patterns, sparkles, feathers, and lots of beads.
  2. Valentine’s Day: Hearts galore for their loved ones (particularly those stitched on sweaters).
  3. Easter: All the pastels for the upcoming holiday.
  4. Western apparel: Fringe, denim, and cowboy boots continue to stay in style
  5. Plus-size clothing: Inclusive options for every body.
  6. St. Patrick’s Day: Green garb to wear at the local pub.
  7. Jeans: Wide legs for throwback ’90s style.
  8. Taylor Swift: Concert couture at its best.
  9. Baseball: Merch for America’s favorite pastime.
  10. Chiefs: The team wanted a championship; the people want 87 gear.

Most popular styles

Crew socks from Le Bon Shoppe; sweatshirt from AEMI + CO
  1. Crew socks: Socks are making a statement with cozy boyfriend options from Le Bon Shoppe, ones that give back (to cats, trees, sloths, turtles, and more) from Conscious Step, and a slouchy, Mardi Gras–inspired pair from 42POPS
  2. Sweatshirts: From quarter zips to crewnecks, retailers are stocking up on timeless basics and getting cozy with sweatshirts from brands like AEMI + CO and chicka-d.
  3. Valentine’s Day apparel: Retailers picked up lots of romantic graphic sweaters and tees for the holiday, along with heart sweaters for their honeys from Oat Collective and The White Invite
  4. Dad hats: You don’t need to be a dad to wear a dad hat: The ones from Codeword, in particular, are delighting shoppers with custom city-, state-, area code–, and even airport-branded hats for anyone needing some shade.
  5. Taylor Swift and Chiefs merch: We expect the popularity of this dynamic duo to keep rising. Take a look at items from Uncommon Label to keep shoppers in their Chiefs (and Taylor) era.
