At Faire, we love digging into what retailers are searching for and what brands are showcasing. Our exclusive data, paired with research into cultural signals, helps us uncover trends before they hit the mainstream—and understand why current trends are cool in the first place. Today, we’re excited to announce that the Faire Forecast is back with a midyear edition. In this report, we’re introducing the newest trends that we’re expecting to see for the latter half of the year.
But before we share what’s new, let’s look back at 2025’s top trends so far and how they’re continuing to resonate with consumers. Armed with this combination of stats and psychology, you’ll find exactly what you need to stock your shops with bestsellers all year long.
If you need inspiration for your shelves as we make our way into the holiday season, the Faire Forecast is here for you. Let’s dive in.
A look back at the January Forecast: Trends in review
Need a quick refresher on the trends we predicted in our January report? Here’s a recap, along with some tips on how to integrate them into your shops. From our reporting, it’s clear these trends are still resonating today.
Everyday Hopecore
Everyday Hopecore is all about choosing positivity. In light of daily challenges, consumers are looking for little treats to add joy to their routines: vibrant, colorful objects that provide whimsy and make them smile. In fact, just after our report was released in January, hopecore went viral on TikTok, with GQ calling the trend “a glimmer in the muck.… Where corecore [a previous trend] languished in depression and anger, hopecore provides solutions: Spend time in nature. Appreciate the little things.”
One of those little things that’s sparking a lot of joy these days is the purse charm, which surged 126% on Faire in January (and has remained consistent at that search level ever since). Fruit, pets, flowers, chains, and jewels are all casually draped on purses, backpacks, and luggage, but a devilishly charming forest creature has shoppers lining up for hours: “Labubu, plush and playful, appears in different colours and ensembles, taking the bag charms trend to a whole new level of maximalism,” writes Vogue. It doesn’t get much more joyful, playful, or hopeful than a cute stuffed animal dangling off your purse.
In a survey we conducted with Faire retailers after our report was published, we found that 57% of you felt that Everyday Hopecore’s colorful, optimistic flourishes were most relevant to you this year, and 48% of Faire brands said that they incorporated this trend the most into their product mix. If you’re still searching for more fun pops of color, try this checkered cosmetics bag, celebratory fish candles (for a sardine-girl summer party), and cheerful cherry measuring spoons for even sweeter baked goods.
Victorian Noir
When it comes to Victorian Noir, it’s all about being extra. More is more in every sense of the word. (It’s no wonder this trend was our most-viewed collection on Faire.) As for how that’s manifesting in homes and closets today, consumers are searching for unique, high-drama items inspired by the aesthetics of the Victorian era. Think: brocades, cherry red hues, and the mystical wonder that drove the tarot interest in April. According to Marie Claire, consumers are simply “yearning for romance” with a shout-out to a fall-ready trend they’re calling “New Victorian.” The trend is even showing up in how consumers are celebrating: maximalist, vintage Antoinette-esque cake decorating is having a moment as well.
Based on our data, Victorian Noir resonated partly with retailers—searches for charms spiked 68% from December to January when we first announced this trend and have increased by 21% from February to May. And products like this moody match set, these maximalist studded ballet flats, and this bold necklace have also been popular.
Neutral Good
From organic textiles to natural beauty products and floral fragrances, consumers this year have been leaning into self-care with items that are good for them and good for the earth. This trend has continued through to the summer season: Searches for cotton spiked 60% from December to January and have sustained that search volume since. The same goes for linen as consumers are gravitating toward natural fibers according to our apparel trends report—and it’s featured heavily here in Glamour’s fall 2025 Fashion Trends Report. Whether you’re going for “coastal cool” or “sculptural minimalism,” linen is always front and center.
Hand-loomed Turkish hand towels, fragrant dipped eucalyptus candles, and herbal coffee made with adaptogen mushrooms are just a few of the popular items that exemplify this movement toward products that are both luxurious and eco-conscious.
Intentional Detours
Intentional Detours are all about taking the road less traveled, about letting your hair down and being spontaneous. Perhaps in response to the confines of adulthood, this trend is driven by those who need a physical and spiritual break from the daily grind. They’re setting out on impromptu road trips—which are surging in popularity, according to Travel Pulse—heading to cozy cabins with books and lots of board games (also surging in popularity) and embracing the unexpected with friends by their side.
This trend has clearly continued to resonate with shoppers, as searches for travel jumped 43% from December to January and have stayed consistent all season long. Searches for camping jumped 76% from December to January and have increased even further (42%) from January to May. For those excursions, might we recommend this popular first aid kit? A deck of cards would be useful, too, along with this kid-friendly camera.
Here for what’s next
The trends we identified at the beginning of the year haven’t just held—they’ve sharpened into focus in the second half of the year, with a refreshed and clearer perspective. Consumers are more unapologetic about their personal style than ever. No matter the trend, their goal is self-expression, authenticity over homogeneity. Meet them there, and you’re in for an excellent year.

If you loved Everyday Hopecore, you’ll love The House Party: Even a simple gathering with friends is enough to make people feel hopeful—bringing back that feeling of connection that many have lost over the past few years. Everything the host brings to the celebration is intentional. The act of hosting is an opportunity to showcase individuality and personal flair, from the aesthetic plates and serving ware to the food itself. Discover how consumers are gathering around a table to create conversation and joy.

If you loved Intentional Detours, you’ll love The Great Indoors: As the year wears on, consumers are still escaping their packed agendas and taking a detour from the daily grind, but they’re stopping somewhere cozy to embrace a more restful pace. Once at their destination, they’re disconnecting from their troubles and reconnecting with what matters most. Discover their simple pleasures in the form of plush sweaters and blankets, fun board games, and nostalgic eats.

If you were intrigued by Victorian Noir, you’ll love The New Romantics: There’s still a luxuriousness and a dramatic nature to The New Romantics, but it’s not tied to any era in particular, like Victorian Noir. This trend layers a number of eras, making it accessible and experimental, whether consumers are into the glamour of the 1920s, the domestic polish of the 1950s, or both together. Discover how this flirty trend is manifesting across the digital world.
