This method is known from the conventional cold perm. The cystine bonds in hair keratin, which are responsible for mechanical strength, are broken by reduction with thioglycolic acid (contained in lotion #1). The eyebrow hair becomes stretchable and malleable in the first step and in the second step, the eyebrow hair is fixed into the desired shape with the help of oxidizing agent, in our case hydrogen peroxide (contained in lotion #2).
