A nicho is a niche, a place made to hold something. This one is hand-fabricated in Santa Fe from tin flashing, painted in Prussian blue with a punched floral motif. The box interior is scored with a starburst pattern. The door is glass with a hinge on one side and a small handle on the other. The piece is magnetic, so a photo, a card, or a note will hold flat against the back wall.
