She first gained attention with her 2015 music video Girls Like Girls where a teen girl beats up her love interest’s abusive boyfriend, making out with her after knocking him out. Hayley says she created the song and video because as a young person she saw no positive representations of romantic love between women in the media. In her acceptance of her MTV music award she said, This validates [for] any queer woman of color that you can follow your dreams. Candle is hand-poured with soy wax and burns for approximately 10 hours. Glass votives are 2.5in high and 2in wide at the base. Each votive is affixed with an opaque sticker with an image of a person and on the opposite side, a translucent sticker with biographical information about the person. Stickers are water-resistant.
