Magnificent old kantha tapestry made from upcycled vintage saris, selected piece by piece by Lilo in Jaipur (no unpleasant surprises regarding quality and colors upon arrival!). The saris are manually assembled by women in the villages of Bengal and northern India to form a slightly quilted fabric (it's the ancestor of our boutis and quilts). The front and back, made from separate saris, are completely different, giving you a 2-in-1 tapestry. Note that this traditional artisanal technique includes the use of small repair patches when necessary.
